An Elevated Hostel Experience at Sandakphu - Poshtel, Meghma

Welcome to The Poshtel in Meghma. Where hiking and hostel stay meet posh luxury. Gone are the days when trekking means roughing it. Now we at Summit Hotels offer you this gorgeous Poshtel right in the heart of Meghma on the Sundhakphu trail.

You might be asking yourself, “Poshtel, what does it mean?”. It is a posh experience of the traditional hostel stay. Poshtels bring you the privacy of your own room and the comfort of a hotel, but with the social spaces, off-the-beaten-trail locations and affordable prices that hostels provide.

We are calling all adventurers, hikers, wanderers, and those who want to connect to cultures and places that many have not travelled to. Whether you are travelling solo, a digital nomad, a family who adventures together or a couple who likes to explore distant lands, the Poshtel in Meghma is waiting for you. As a Sundhakphu basecamp for day treks or your destination to experience the community and the land in the clouds, we welcome you to join us for more than a vacation, come for an experience. Luxury can be affordable in our Sundhakphu trail hostel.

As you come down the road through the lush, green flora of Meghna you will come to our Old-World-inspired Upscale Hostel for trekkers called a Poshtel. The stonework and the small, detailed roof lattice bring you to a farm cottage feel. When you enter your stay, the warmth of the wooden walls and floors will welcome you. As you enter the dining area, the Alpina Hostel Cafe, you will be surrounded by the views of Meghma, the rolling foothills and gorgeous sunsets all around you. We also have an enclosed patio area for you to enjoy time with other guests where you can share your travel stories and a warm meal. Enjoy fresh ingredients of local from our amazing chef. Our menu is carefully chosen with healthy meals to give you energy for your hiking activities. You will be introduced to local favourites as well as the famous Tongba of the hills. This is a millet-based local alcoholic drink that is enjoyed by locals and tourists alike.

The amenities that we bring to you are unparalleled for a Sundhakphu accommodation. With internet, 24-hour front desk service, temperature-controlled rooms, and lockers to keep your belongings safe, this is no ordinary hostel. It truly is a “posh” “hostel”.
